  • Marcin Kolasiński - Attorney-at-Law

     Marcin Kolasiński, attorney-at-law,  has extensive experience in matters related to competition and consumer protection, combating unfair competition, public procurement, compliance, product safety, legal issues in regulated sectors and corporate advice.

    He worked for the Office of the Committee for European Integration, where he was involved in the process of implementing EU law into the Polish legalsystem.   • Zuzanna Chromiec - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Zuzanna Chromiec, attorney-at-law trainee, her day-to-day practice focuses on matters related to the reimbursement of medicinal products, broadly understood organization, financing and contracting of the healthcare system, as well as legal aspects of biological medicinal products.

    Patients’ rights are also one of the main areas of her interests. Therefore, her responsibilities also include assistance in matters related to handling litigation and proceedings before bodies of public administration in pro bono cases conducted by KRK.     Filip Dymitrowski, attorney-at-law trainee, handles matters regarding pharmaceutical law and the broadly-understood organisation, financing and contracting of the healthcare system.

    In his everyday work, he focuses on regulatory advice to pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, health centres and manufacturers of medical devices.   • Miłosz Huszcza - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Miłosz Huszcza is an attorney-at-law trainee. His day-to-day practice focuses on matters related to pharmaceutical law and legal assistance to companies operating on the healthcare and FMCG market. The main areas of his specilization are clinical trials, distribution, reimbursement, safety and advertising of medicinal and borderline products and personal data protection in Life sciences sector.

    Miłosz gained his professional experience working in a legal department of an entity rendering services to companies in the field of medical devices, food and cosmetics industry, in law firms, as well as in the international contract research organisations (CROs).

    Miłosz obtained his Master’s Degree in Law at the Krakow University and completed postgraduated studies in the field of „Medical and Pharmaceutical Law” at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. During the studies, as the President of the Legal Clinic, Milosz dealt with pro bono matters, by providing legal assistance to people in need.

  • Aleksandra Kardas - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Aleksandra Kardas, attorney-at-law trainee, has a strong focus on competition law and consumer protection, as well as unfair competition, public procurement, compliance and corporate advisory.

    Prior to joining KRK Kieszkowska Rutkowska Kolasiński, she gained professional experience at international law firms.

    Aleksandra is a summa cum laude graduate of the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Law and Administration and American Law Program, organized jointly by the Jagiellonian University and the Catholic University of America. As an Erasmus fellow, she pursued her academic research at Bucerius Law School (Germany), University of Groningen (Holland) and London School of Economics (Great Britain). She was awarded the prestigious Rector’s of the Jagiellonian University scholarship for the best students for three consecutive years.

    On a private note, she is keen on travelling, sports and healthy lifestyle.

  • Emilia Kasjanowicz - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Emilia Kasjanowicz, attorney-at-law trainee handles matters of broadly-understood pharmaceutical law, competition and consumer protection law and public procurement law. Her practice focuses on day-to-day legal assistance to companies operating on the healthcare and FMCG markets.

    Before joining the KRK Kieszkowska Rutkowska Kolasiński law firm, Emilia Kasjanowicz completed a two-year internship in the legal department of an international pharmaceutical company. She also gained experience as an intern at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights.

    Emilia is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. During her studies, she attended a two-year specialisation programme named “Business Law”, which gave her in-depth knowledge of economic law, commercial law and financial law.

    Emilia is currently a legal counsel trainee at the Regional Bar Association in Warsaw.

  • Marcin Kazimierski - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Marcin Kazimierski, attorney-at-law trainee, His day-to-day practice focuses on product liability and matters related to general product safety. He supports KRK’s lawyers in advising on issues related to placing products on the market and in court proceedings including both pre-trial and trial stage. Marcin advises companies on dispute management strategies and methods of resolving disputes in cooperation with external experts and lawyers from other jurisdictions.

    His area of interests include also issues connected with new technologies and automotive issues.

    Marcin is a graduate of IB Diploma Programme the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.

  • Julia Łokaj - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Julia Łokaj, an attorney-at-law trainee, specializes in product liability and general product safety matters. She advises companies from regulated industries on regulatory and contractual issues related to placing various types of product on the market. She supports KRK’s lawyers in court and administrative proceedings. Her interests include intellectual property law and the European Union law. Before joining KRK, Julia gained experience in the Life Sciences and Competition practices of other Polish and international law firms, as well as in an NGO providing legal aid pro bono.

    Julia Łokaj is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the British Law Centre, established by Cambridge University in collaboration with Warsaw University. She was a competitor in the 23rd edition of the Central and Eastern Europe Moot Court Competition (CEEMC) held under auspices of the Court of Justice of the European Union. She is currently a trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association.

  • Mateusz Winczura - Attorney-at-Law Trainee

    Mateusz Winczura, attorney-at-law trainee, supports KRK’s lawyers in court and administrative proceedings. He specialises in civil proceedings, commercial law and civil law, especially with regard to product liability, tort liability and consumer protection law.

    Before joining KRK Kieszkowska Rutkowska Kolasiński, Mateusz gained experience in litigation departments of international law firms. He also underwent an internship with a law firm in the U.S. which specializes in trials and dispute resolution.

    Mateusz graduated cum laude from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration, as well as Center for American Law Studies, which was jointly established by the University of Warsaw, Georgia State University and Emory University. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Warsaw, where he is preparing his thesis on civil proceedings. He was awarded the Minister’s Scholarship for outstanding achievements, as well as a number of other academic awards and scholarships. Mateusz is an author of a dozen or so papers and academic speeches on the topic of civil proceedings and private law.

    He is currently undergoing training at the Regional Bar Council in Warsaw.

  • Marek Świerczyński, PhD Habil., prof. UKSW - Attorney-at-Law

    Marek Świerczyński, PhD Habil., prof. UKSW, attorney-at-law, advises healthcare businesses and organizations on the Pharmaceutical Law, Reimbursement Law, Intellectual Property Law, e-commerce and private international law.

    He is employed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University. Thanks to her personal involvement, last year PricewaterhouseCoopers and IMS Health - a provider of insights into the pharmaceutical market, prepared two large reports summarising the effects of the Reimbursement Act. Her legal opinions have a large impact on the amendment of defective healthcare regulations. She was the first to raise the alarm about the adverse effects on patients welfare of the regulations of the Reimbursement Law which banned pharmaceutical companies from donating medicines to hospitals. Last year, the Ministry of Health amended the regulations at issue, and hospital donations were again permitted. Her major success was also bringing about the resolution of the eight-year long court battle to recognise that innovative, research-based producers have a legal standing in assessments of the legality of copies of their pharmaceutical products. As a member of the Batory Foundations Civic Forum on Legislation, Mrs Kieszkowska-Knapik fights for the introduction of European law-making standards in Poland. She enjoys voluntary work. She advises patientsorganisations pro bono, including the Polish Coalition of Oncological Patients Organisations, the Rak’n’Roll Foundation and the Polish Patients' Federation.
